Abstract
결론
편측 coronoid process의 hyperplasia에 의한 개구 장애와 선천적 치아 결손을 지닌 환자에
서 나타난 구강 내 소견과 전신적 증후군 사이의 연관성 여부를 적절한 medical
consultation과 실험실 검사를 통하여 알아본 결과 의심되었던 Hallermann-Streiff
syndrome으로 진단하기엔 미흡한 것으로 사료되었다.
환자가 가진 치과적 문제점들을 해결해 주기 위하여 전신 마취하에 외과적 수술에 의해서
개구 제한을 해소한 다음, 치수 및 수복 치료를 수행하여 기능 향상을 도모하였고 상악 국
소의치를 장착하여 전치부 심미적 개선을 도모하였다. 향후 정기적인 medical/dental
check-up을 통한 환자의 전신 및 구강 관리가 요구된다.

Restricted opening of the mouth in children can be derived from a variety of extra and
intra articular causes.
A 5-year-old female patient with an elongated right coronoid process and with
congenital missing teeth came to clinic for wearing of esthetic denture.
A proper medical consultation and laboratory test had done for assessment a systemic
syndrome related to her dental anomalies. The result was that her systemic findings
didn't accord specific signs and symptoms of Hallermann-Streiff syndrome.
Unilateral coronoidectomy was fulfilled to improve mouth opening and subsequently
endodontic and restorative procedure. Maxillary partial denture was delivered for esthetic
problem.
The periodic recall medical/dental check-up are recommended.
